Custom product design, from sketch to printed part
Bring a sketch, a photo or just the problem. Trivedi Mechlab designs the part in CAD for FDM printing, you approve the model, then we print it and ship it across India. The design work gets a fixed price after one conversation about size, load and finish; printing is priced separately once the design is approved.

The same four steps, every time.
- 01SketchYour idea, a photo, a broken part or only the problem.
- 02CADWe model it for the machine that will make it. You approve.
- 03PrintA first print you can hold, test and mark up.
- 04InstalledThe final part, in place, doing its job.
Tell us what it has to do.
A problem is as good a start as a drawing. The designer reads every brief personally.
What does the design price cover?
Modelling the part for FDM, one round of changes after you see it, and the print-ready file we print from.
The scope email lists exactly what is included before you agree to it: the parts, the revisions, whether you receive the CAD files, and the date of the first review. Bigger changes after approval are quoted as a new scope, never billed by surprise.
What makes a good brief?
What the part must do, what it touches, roughly how big it is, and where it will live.
- Function: holds a phone, guides a cable, replaces a cracked knob.
- Interfaces: the screws, boards, pipes or hands it meets, with measurements if you have them.
- Environment: indoors, in a car, outdoors, near heat. This picks the material.
- Quantity: one, or a batch later. It changes how we design it.
What happens after I send the brief?
We reply within 1 working day, usually with a few questions, then send a fixed price for the design.
Once you agree, we model the part and send renders and the key dimensions to approve. After approval it is priced for printing like any 3D printing job, and the first print follows.
About design work.
Do I need to know CAD?
No. A phone photo of a sketch, a broken part next to a ruler, or a few sentences about the problem is enough to start.
Do I get the CAD file?
Say so in the brief and we include the export (STEP or STL) in the scope and the price, so it is agreed before work starts.
Can you copy a part that broke?
Usually, yes. Send photos from three sides with a ruler or a coin in the frame, plus the measurements you can take. Worn or missing features are redrawn from how the part fits.
Is the printing included in the design price?
No. The design is priced on its own; the print is priced the usual way once you approve the model, so you can compare materials and quantities.
